Har Homa is the home of many families now, it was once in the news as an "obstacle to peace" but people have calmed down now. The prices have also gone up, so try to find an affordable apartment, "Good Luck"
Clue #1 It is in Jerusalem Clue #2 Its a place that you go only if you have to Clue #3 If you are very sick, you get a very noisy ride to get there. Give up? This is the visitor's entrance to Hadassah Hospital! Bring your walking shoes!!!
I don't usually post pictures of churches on this blog, but I have seen this from afar many times. When you are driving to the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, this view keeps popping up so you might get distracted by the view. You might wonder about the golden dome church and why it is up there? Well this link: http://www.biblewalks.com/Sites/RussianEinKerem.html Will tell you all about it. If you want to go to visit, remember that visitors are not allowed inside the church, but the view and the exterior might be enough to justify the trip. Since you have to go into the Hadassah Hosiptal complex, you will have to pay the parking fee for the hospital, so don't be surprised. Have a good trip! Rachael Alice
This is the site of the first hospital in Jerusalem. It was established by Rothschild, in 1888, and in 1939 Hadassah took it over. The building is still standing and is in use as a medical training center. I was passing by on HaNeviim Street, and I couldn't resist to take in this bit of Jerusalem history. See you on the street!
