Jerusalem Scenes

  Now that we are in the depths of winter, I look back and remember the flowers of Spring, and know that it is just around the corner again. Keep Spring in your heart and you will always be happy.  Rachael Alice Orbach   

I walked in Nachlat Shiva a few weeks ago and there are the umbrellas waiting to catch the rain. Or if it starts to rain, you can try to jump up and catch one for yourself!  Enjoy listening to a song that I wrote and produced using the rain on my roof as a background. (It is supposed to rain today so I want to get into the mood!)

בס"ד Take a walk in the Cardo in the Old City of Jerusalem, best right now during the very hot Spring time, today is already 30 degrees Celcius!  The air is clear and cool and now there are shops just like in olden days.   A number of Museums are open for your enjoyment  https://www.rova-yehudi.org.il/sites/the-herodian-quarter-the-wohl-museum This is under the Yeshivat HaKotel, and you can see the remains of the last fight between the Romans and the Jewish Patriots from over 2000 years ago.  Since we are talking about the last fight for Jerusalem, this museum is about the last fight in 1948 for the Old City of Jerusalem  http://israelattractions.baruchhaba.com/place/last-battle-for-the-old-city-museum/   Definetly worth the visit.  If you want a bird's eye view of the Old and New City and to see the brand new Hurva Synagoge then go inside  https://www.rova-yehudi.org.il/sites/the-hurva-synagogue/   It is a wonderful view!
